All Patterson Elementary community events happen because of our wonderful volunteers!
There are many ways to get involved with the PTA, from short one-time commitments, helping out with smaller tasks for events, to coordinating an event.
There’s no minimum on how much time to volunteer. However you would like to help, we would love to have you! Or, if you prefer, you can contribute by donating money (also, no minimum).

Current opportunities
Volunteer Needed: CPA
We’re looking for a CPA to conduct our mid-year and end-of-year audit for the current academic year. This is a volunteer role.
Patterson Elementary PTA is a nonprofit, which means we must comply with all tax requirements to maintain our nonprofit status.
Here’s when the audits need to occur:
- Mid-year audit: Beginning/Middle of January
- End-of-year audit: Beginning of July
The volunteer CPA conducting the audit:
- Doesn’t have to be a parent of a Patterson Elementary student
- Must be impartial to the outcome of the audit
- Must not be related by blood or marriage to, nor reside in the same household as, the current president or other financial officers or any chairmen handling funds.
